Terms and conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of this website and the booking of services and purchase of products from Advanced Aesthetics Clinic & Apothecary, operated by Lorna Melay.

By booking an appointment or purchasing from our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Appointments & Bookings

Appointments can be made via www.lornamelay.ie approved booking methods.

  • Clients are responsible for attending appointments on time.
  • Late arrivals may result in reduced treatment time or cancellation.
  • We reserve the right to refuse treatment where appropriate (e.g. contraindications, safety concerns).

Cancellation Policy

We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will incur a 20% cancellation fee.
  • Missed appointments ("no-shows") may also be charged 50% of the treatment cost.
  • Repeated late cancellations may require prepayment for future bookings.

This policy ensures fairness to both clients and the business.

Refund Policy – Treatments

  • All treatment services are non-refundable once completed.
  • Results may vary depending on individual skin type, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare advice.
  • Courses or prepaid treatments are non-refundable but may be transferable at our discretion.

Products & E-Shop Purchases

We offer a range of products through our e-shop.

Returns & Refunds:

  • Customers have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receipt (in accordance with EU consumer law).
  • To be eligible for a refund:
    • Products must be unused, unopened and in original packaging
    • Proof of purchase is required
  • Due to hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
    • Opened skincare products
    • Herbal remedies or ingestible products

Faulty or Damaged Goods:

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and we will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Shipping

  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services or supply delays.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.

Client Responsibility

Clients must:

  • Provide accurate medical and skin information
  • Disclose any allergies, medications or conditions
  • Follow all aftercare advice provided
  • Seek medical advice where needed before having any treatments or remedies

We are not liable for adverse reactions where relevant information has not been disclosed.

Gift Vouchers

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash
  • Must be used within the validity period stated
  • Can be transferred to another person if required

Liability

Advanced Aesthetics Clinic & Apothecary will not be held liable for:

  • Any indirect or consequential loss
  • Results not meeting expectations where correct procedures were followed
  • Reactions where contraindications were not disclosed and/or aftercare was not followed
